Kannada Rajyotsava Celebration at Dolphin’s Public School – KSEAB

Dolphin’s Public School – KSEAB celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava, marking the formation of Karnataka. The campus was decorated with the red and yellow Kannada flags, traditional banners, and festive decorations.

The day began with a floral tribute to the portrait of Goddess Bhuvaneshwari, the presiding deity of Karnataka, and the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. The school management and faculty spoke about Karnataka’s history, the struggle for its unification, and the contributions of poets, freedom fighters, and social reformers to Kannada literature and culture.

Students sang Kannada bhavageethe and patriotic songs, and gave speeches in Kannada on the importance of nurturing the mother tongue. There were also group dances, folk performances, and a fancy-dress competition where children came dressed as historical figures, literary figures, and freedom fighters of Karnataka.

The programme ended with everyone singing the state anthem, “Jaya Bharatha Jananiya Tanujaathe”, and sweets were distributed.
